It is the best news...
I've been expecting this call for days... Still, it came as a surprise. Well, I mean it was a surprise to get the call and surprise of what the call was about.
What on earth am I talking about?!?!?!?!
I've finally got the confirmation that I've been selected as MC VP People Development of AIESEC in UAE for the year 2006/2007!!! Hew, that came as a relief. It has been a torture not knowing. I'm soooo happy & excited about the selection.
Actually, this has somewhat came to a full-circle. I first "met" Basma, the MCPe of AIESEC in UAE online, through matching a TN in the UAE. The person that put her in contact with me was, funny enough, my mentor (Thank you SuperYo). The one country that we discussed when I first considered an International MC term was... UAE. The way that I "stumbled" upon the MC application, and then couldn't download it for 1 week. Not to mention the worst luck ever that on the D-day of submitting application the electricity was out for 1 hour, eating into time that I already didn't have. Then the agonising wait of the telephone interview, and then the second interview... Anyways, today it has come to full-circle. All the "excitements" that went into this process were all worth it.
UAE will be a complete different experience. It will be a new beginnig. It will be a challenge. But I think I'm ready!
